Whop is building a platform to service the internet economy. Millions of people are building new products that they are selling guerrilla style on social media and on forums throughout the internet. Whop gives these sellers a sleek storefront that can accept payments, seamlessly deliver digital products, and attract new customers visiting our marketplace. We currently handle over $180M+ in yearly payments with thousands of active merchants. To further our important mission of helping everyone start internet businesses, we are looking for an experienced recruiter to join our team. This role will be full-cycle recruiting from first touch point to the first 90 days of onboarding. You will drive strategic initiatives to optimize for the caliber and productivity of Whop’s recruiting organization, and collaborate closely with our other recruiters.

You will report directly to our CEO until we have a Head of People.
What does the role look like?:
You’ll be joining Whop as a senior recruiter. You’ll be the second person on the recruitment team, you will be reporting to the CEO, and will be joined by one other recruiter. At Whop, your responsibility will be to seek out, get in touch with, and close the best people in the world. You will be managing anywhere from 3-6 full-time roles at any given time across G&A, S&M, and R&D teams.
You are expected to craft JDs with hiring managers, to source leads (candidates who match the JD), lay out clear interview processes, and guide candidates through the interview process. You will be asked to funnel insights upwards into the organization, in order to make everyone aware of any bottlenecks / things we can do better as a company to attract higher quality talent.
You’ll be given different tools and resources to fill the roles. The resources you’ll be given are a $10,000 quarterly budget to help with closing talent, LinkedIn recruiter, and a gold Twitter (X) account.
Your first 90 days will look like the following:
Within 30 days you will understand who all of the hiring managers are, which roles are highest priority, and you will be speaking to several candidates already.
Within 60 days you will have made at least 4 hires.
Within 90 days you will have created several inbound candidate pipelines, as well as made more than 6 hires.

You will have needed have been a recruiter at a high growth software startup in the past. At the startup, it is a requirement that you independently sourced and independently closed 10+ top tier candidates. You also will need to clearly explain interview processes that you have setup at past companies.
