Whop gives these sellers a sleek storefront that can accept payments, seamlessly deliver digital products, and attract new customers visiting our marketplace. We currently handle over $100M+ in yearly payments with thousands of active merchants. To further our important mission of helping everyone start internet businesses, we are looking for a software engineer to make our product amazing.

Title: Rails Software Engineer

This role will be a backend software engineer that reports directly to the CTO. As a backend software engineer, you will be specifically responsible for building product features. You will work directly with a frontend engineer and be responsible for making our product intuitive and beautiful. Working side by side with our product team, you will take problems and craft elegant solutions that enhance user flows. You will also work closely with our customer experience team and growth team to build internal tools.

You have a strong understanding of APIs and what good Rails code looks like. You can work directly with frontend engineers to unblock them and create easily consumable endpoints.
Build out internal tools for our customer experience team
Collaborate with the product team to address user pain points
Improve existing features by making the user experience smoother
Work with our frontend engineering team to unblock them
Assist the growth team in unlocking new growth opportunities
Maintain high standards of communication and task organization
Engage in PR reviews in the backend Rails repository
Throughly test all your code
5+ years of working in a production Ruby on Rails codebase
Experience with GraphQL
Experience with RSpec
Experience with React
You understand our users and our product
